Seerita Sankar, BASc, R.S.S.W

Seerita graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber in 2024 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology. She went on to complete her diploma in Social Services at Seneca College and is now a Registered Social Service Worker with the OCSWSSW.

She brings a diverse research background, working as a Grant and Sponsorship Researcher for a youth non-profit, taking on data analyst work for an education center, and previously serving as a Research Assistant at a food bank. Alongside this, she is actively involved in community engagement and mental health advocacy, having worked in various settings with seniors, providing crisis support through Crisis Text Line, and having previously supported families of sick children through Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Throughout her time at Guelph-Humber, Seerita is grateful for Nalini’s mentorship and the inspiration she has provided. With Nalini’s continued guidance, she plans to pursue a Master of Social Work, with the goal of continuing her research while supporting individuals in need through access to resources and clinical care.

Beyond her academic and community involvement, Seerita enjoys practicing yoga, staying active at the gym, reading, and exploring photography.
